Today Maureen, Mrs Loane and our tiny teacher, Miss Leah Loane came in to school as part of our Roots of Empathy Programme. We had great fun watching Leah as she moved around the blanket. We noticed how well she can sit up and also how quickly she can crawl around the floor. She certainly does not sit in one place for very long now. We also noticed that she now has her first pair of shoes and today she wanted to stand up a lot. Leah still needs support to stand and is comfortable holding an adult's hand. Leah interacted with all of the toys Maureen brought out today and she was able to enjoy us singing many Nursery Rhymes and songs today. Leah even 'sang' back to us when we stopped. It sounded very like 'Baa, Baa Black Sheep.' We are really enjoying our Roots of Empathy Programme.
