Roots of Empathy - Communicating Theme

6th Mar 2017

This morning, Maureen came in to school to work with Mrs Moore's class on the Roots of Empathy Programme. Our new theme is all about communicating. Today we explored all the different ways that we can communicate. We thought about how we use our senses to interact with one another. We speak, listen, watch other people's facial expressions, body language and some people use sign language and their hands to express themselves. We are really looking forward to seeing baby Leah on Thursday. We will be able to ask Mrs Loane some questions about how she interacts with Leah and how Leah communicates with her and other members of the family. We will watch out for ways that Leah uses her senses to convey meaning. Maureen read us a great story called, Dear Juno. In this story Juno writes a letter to his Grandmother. We continue to enjoy our Roots of Empathy Project work. Article 28: Every child has the right to an education.
