First Roots of Empathy Baby Visit

12th Oct 2018

This morning there was a great deal of excitement in Mrs Moore's Primary 3 class, because the boys and girls were getting ready for our first visit from baby Noah and his Mummy. We are so looking forward to learning from Noah, as we watch him grow and develop over the course of the year. Everyone enjoyed our first visit and we had lots to observe and talk about. Darren got out the weighing scales and tape measure so we could record Noah's weight and length. Over the year we will track his growth. We noticed that Noah appears to be a very happy and contented baby. He was not scared or frightened with all the new faces in school, in fact we think he liked our singing. Thank-you so much to Noah and his Mummy for committing to our Roots of Empathy programme this year. It is going to be great. Look out for our Roots of Empathy board in school. We will have lots of pictures, photographs and updates on it. After today's visit, we drew some pictures of Noah, using pastels, crayons or felt-tip pens. We think we did a good job. The UNCRC reminds us that Every child has the right to life.
